報告摘要:
Suspension design without understanding the impact of suspension kinematics on the vehicle dynamics (ride and handling) is impractical and inefficient. In this talk, we study different types of suspensions, suspension motions and characteristics, vehicle ride and suspension characteristics, and vehicle handling and suspension characteristics. We will find that the vehicle dynamics and its intended application is very well connected to the suspension characteristics and its design. This understanding will assist us in the design of any vehicle suspension. We will also learn that the design of any suspension is a compromise between different factors including ride, handling, space efficiency, weight, and cost.
 
報告人簡介:
Amir Khajepour,博士,滑鐵盧大學機械與機電工程系“機電一體化車輛系統”講席教授,美國和加拿大機械工程學會會員。
Khajepour博士已在汽車工程領域發表了150多篇期刊論文、160余篇會議論文及多本著作。其擁有的多項發明專利已被業界才有並轉化。擔任《國際車輛自主系統雜志》和《國際動力總成雜志》的副主編。
